What an amazing place the Old Sunday School is! We visited for our anniversary with our two dogs, and it was an incredible stay. Jay and Lisa have created a beautiful holiday home with every detail accounted for. The small touches for arrival just make it extra special, including those for the pups!The property is well appointed, with impeccable cleaning standards and every luxurious touch you could possibly need.The views from the patio area never get old, and we spend many hours chilling with a beer. listening to music on the Sonos system and playing one of the many board games on offer!There are so many beautiful walks around, as well as local pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and takeaways – all highlighted in the welcome pack so you don’t even have to spend hours researching.Jay and Lisa are the most welcoming hosts too, and nothing is ever too much bother! They even let me visit their field of rescue animals which was fantastic to chat to them about.We were genuinely sad to leave after a week at the Old Sunday School, and will absolutely be back again in the future!

The photos honestly don’t do this place justice. These fantastic hosts have thought of everything, the views are INSANE!! It’s sooo peaceful and the house is done out to a beautiful standard. All the little touches are gorgeous. Not forgetting the personalised towel for our 4 legged friend – very sweet 💙

Our stay at The Old Sunday School was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. The location and views are ideal and James was super easy to contact and had great communication. The bed was very comfortable and it had all of the utilities you could possibly need. The food and drink on arrival was an added bonus! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

A 5* stay, everything was immaculate and beautifully thought out – from the welcome package to the luxurious bedroom and outdoor seating area. We will 100% be back soon! James was a pleasure communicate to with and the whole experience was above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had high expectations of the Old Sunday School from the photos and reviews we read, and I have to say, our stay exceeded the hopes we had. The house is absolutely beautiful, with high quality fittings, and equipment it feels super luxurious. The view from the patio is stunning with comfy outdoor seats. We were welcomed by Jay and Lisa, and they had left some delicious local food and drinks. Our dog Esther even got her own mini hamper of goodies. I would completely recommend staying here, and we really hope to return one day too (we didn’t want to leave this time around).

We have just returned from our stay and are already looking at a time we can go back. Every detail was perfect and Jay & Lisa were very welcoming. The house was stunning and the location was perfect. It was the best place we have stayed in!

Wow. What a beautiful place. I can honestly say that was hands down the best UK break we have had in as long as we can remember. Every detail had been thought about from a really tastefully put together welcome hamper, a personalised dog towel for the pup with some lovely handmade treats to the finishes in every room. 4 days was not long enough – and we are already looking to come back. Jay & Lisa were the PERFECT hosts. They sat back and let us enjoy their home but were there in a flash if we had questions or recommendations of places to dine out, beaches to visits and things to do. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, we were sad to leave it! The showers was incredible – I genuinely felt like it cleansed my soul, I felt like a new person. Even light up vanity mirrors in the bathroom & bedroom making it the perfect lighting to get ready for the evening! Underfloor heating – something which is such a luxury. Even down to the crockery was luxury. There seriously was not one thing we could fault. Views were beautiful and considering we went stayed during the storm we still managed to come away feeling totally relaxed and had such a lovely time. The log burner is amazing especially if the weather is bad. We had a couple of evenings with a film on, glass of red in front of the fire playing board games that were in abundance! Thank you Jay & Lisa you have created such a beautiful and tranquil space to stay to escape the hustle & bustle which is exactly what we needed.

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway and it is the best place we have ever stayed in. Outstanding is an understatement, from the minute we walked in we were blown away by the beauty! Right down to the little details, our fury babies even had personalised gifts on arrival which made us all feel right at home. The hosts were fantastic nothing was to much trouble! We will definitely be back again! X

Absolutely loved our Christmas stay here. Great location in a quiet village but with good connections and range of beaches in a short drive. The house itself was perfection – every little detail and decor made us never want to leave (or at least buy the bedding for our own house!). Super clean and looked after; the hosts were so thoughtful with the whole experience. Thoroughly recommend for individuals or couples looking for a relaxing break… especially if you have a dog, ours loved it!

"We stayed at The Old Sunday School in Summer this year. I couldn’t recommend James & Lisa enough.
Thoughtful hosts, amazing design, comfortable and fully equipped.
The only downside about the accommodation is that the bed, heated flooring, amazing bathroom and kitchen is so wonderful, I had to drag myself to leave and go explore Cornwall!!
We’ve booked ourselves in for 2 holidays next year - can’t wait!"

The perfect Christmas getaway! The Old Sunday School is beautiful, both exterior and interior blew us away. The furnishings, amenities and personal touches made our stay perfect. Rob loved the fresh scones, jam and clotted cream and we toasted our stay over a glass of complimentary bubbles. The view is incredible, both the sunrise and sunset skies across the fields are breathtaking. We also enjoyed relaxing on an evening with a red wine and dinner by the log fire - it was bliss. We couldn’t have asked for more. Born Jay and Lisa were just a call / message away. Thank you both so much, Rob and Chloe 🙂

We stayed at The Old Sunday school for our first anniversary and it was perfect. The accommodation is stunning, luxurious and well thought out. The patio area was the perfect place to chill out and watch the sun go down and the stars come out. We'll definitely be back for another visit.

This is a very special place. James and Lisa have renovated a beautiful Wesleyan chapel to the very highest standard. We feel lucky to have stayed in such a brilliant place! Everything exceeded our expectations. James and Lisa communicated promptly, were really welcoming and have really considered everything. We will be back ASAP!

If I could rate The Old Sunday School more than 5 stars I would. Everything was more than perfect and there were lovely personal touches that made the stay so welcoming and different to anywhere we have stayed before. The place was so clean and tidy and we had everything we needed. It was perfect for our dogs and the welcome pack had great recommendations for dog walks - something I would normally have to search for on google! Honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for our wonderful stay x
